Blair Severn is Co-founder and Chairman of the enabling ideas® Community of experts, a membership Community of best-in-class specialty professional service providers from Canada and the United States.
Blair is also President and Managing Partner of the Toronto based strategy consultancy Azure Corporation. Equally experienced with start-ups and multi-nationals, you may find Blair re-tooling a company for growth or you may find him infusing entrepreneurial creativity into a stagnant organization. With an ability to fuse design thinking with financial rigour, what Blair does best is build profit growth for client companies through designing and implementing sustainable strategic advantage.
With a career built on mobilizing results, Blair developed the executive education program entitled “Getting There From Here’, a program he has taught to business owners through the University at Buffalo, School of Management, Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Blair also serves as Co-Chair of the CanAm Council for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
Previously, Blair has held executive roles in Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Retail Operations, Entrepreneurial Management and Non-profit Governance. Blair was Senior Manager and Compliance Officer with the Office of Strategic Management at BMO Financial Group, was National Marketing Manager of Sony of Canada, Chairman of the Board of Retail Advertising and Marketing Canada, Manager Retail Marketing and Sales of Consumers Gas and Director Marketing and Retail Operations for The Severn Group. Blair has a MBA in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from the University of Toronto, an HBAS in Marketing from York University and BA in Business / Sociology from Brock University.
