Ambassadors Doer and Heyman Added as Keynotes

Ambassadors Doer and Heyman added as keynotesThe Great Lakes Economic Forum has added Canadian Ambassador to the United States Gary Doer and United States Ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman as keynote speakers to their lineup.

The Great Lakes Economic Forum has revealed two additional Keynote speakers for the 2015 event. The Honorable Gary Doer, Canadian Ambassador to the United States, and The Honorable Bruce Heyman, United States Ambassador to Canada, will join previously announced invited Keynote speaker Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

“Exposing our attendees to these two global leaders is an incredible opportunity to showcase the Great Lakes Region as an international economic development engine,” said Mark Fisher, CEO of Council of the Great Lakes Region. “Their passion, leadership, and excellence are extraordinary.”

Fisher added: “the Great Lakes Economic Forum in Chicago may initially seem like a somewhat out-of-the-box stage to spotlight the Ambassadors as keynotes, given their prominence as policy leaders; it is inspiring that they recognize the Great Lakes Region as an economic powerhouse. We are seeing that our theme for the forum – through Partnership Flows Prosperity – is being well received and we anticipate a full sellout of the Great Lakes Economic Forum in 2015.”

The Great Lakes Economic Forum will take place from April 26-28 this year in Chicago with events at the Chicago Cultural Center, the Shedd Aquarium and a first-of-its-kind Great Lakes Ambassadors’ Gala at The Montgomery Club.
