For over twenty years, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) has engaged and supported communities throughout the Milwaukee River Basin to address future flooding risk, soil erosion, pollutant runoff, habitat degradation, and climate resilience through targeted land preservation. Through its Greenseams® and Working Soils® programs, MMSD is preserving critical natural areas by acquiring or placing easements on undeveloped private properties near streams, wetlands, and future growth zones.

Join CGLR for an engaging conversation with Kristin Schultheis from MMSD who will share the effect these programs are having on natural land and water systems and how peer-to-peer engagement is vital to their ongoing success.

Learn how your community can play a role in shaping a more resilient future.
